Arkansas (/ˈɑːrkənsɔː/ AR-kən-saw)[c] is a state in the south central region of the United States, home to over 3 million people as of 2018.[6][7] Its name is from the Osage language, of Siouan derivation; it denoted their related kin, the Quapaw people.[8] The state’s diverse geography ranges from the mountainous regions of the Ozark and the Ouachita Mountains, which make up the U.S. Interior Highlands, to the densely forested land in the south known as the Arkansas Timberlands, to the eastern lowlands along the Mississippi River and the Arkansas Delta. Arkansas State Board of Nursing
The Arkansas State Board of Nursing (ASBN) has implemented a new self-service portal called the ARKANSAS NURSE PORTAL. Nurses will use the portal for licensing, renewals, payments, complaints and account maintenance.
The first step in the renewal process is creating an account in the Arkansas Nurse Portal or signing into an account you have already created. The accepted payment method is with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit card. Upon completion of the renewal application, you will be presented a receipt screen which should be printed as proof of payment.
Each license type must be renewed separately
Advanced practice nurses must have a valid RN license (in Arkansas or a compact state).

NOTE: Instead of listing all courses individually you will be required to attest to your continuing education for the renewal cycle.

Arkansas fun facts
Arkansas is a state in the southeastern region of the United States.
It is bordered by Louisiana to the south, Texas to the southwest, Oklahoma to the west, Missouri to the north, as well as Tennessee and Mississippi on the east.
The name Arkansas means “south wind” and is derived from a name used by some Native Americans to describe the Quapaws, an early tribe in the area. The region was spelled various ways over the years, but entered the Union as Arkansas in 1836. The pronunciation Ark-an-saw” became the pronunciation in 1881.
Arkansas’s earliest recorded nicknames, the “Bear State” and the “Toothpick State,” made reference to characteristic features of the region.
Arkansas did not acquire a formal or official nickname until 1923, when the Arkansas General Assembly adopted the slogan of the Arkansas Advancement Association, “Wonder State”, as the state’s official nickname.
